Expanding the Coverage and Strengthening the Management of Wetland Protected Areas in Sichuan Province, China (hereinafter referred to as the Project) aims to strengthen wetland protection and management efforts, promote the further expansion of wetland areas in Sichuan Province, improve the effectiveness of wetland management, effectively protect wetland biodiversity, fully realize the ecological service functions of wetlands, and maximize social and environmental benefits.

This document combines the project’s Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Report (ESIA) and the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP). 

The scope of the environmental and social assessment for the demonstration sites includes Baihetan NWP, Qionghai NWP, and ten surrounding communities.
